Everything around the Kingsbridge Estuary is within a few miles of everything else, which fools people into thinking it doesn't matter where they stay. It does. A week in the middle of Salcombe, walking to dinner and stepping onto a ferry, is a completely different holiday from a week above Hope Cove with the weather coming in off the open sea, or from a base in Kingsbridge where the shops stay open through the winter.
Most accommodation sites won't tell you that. They hand you a map, a filter and a wall of listings, and leave you to work out for yourself that a Salcombe postal address can mean a house several miles away in another village, or that the beaches you can see from the town are on the side you cannot drive to. So this site does the other half of the job: it says what each place is actually like, and then shows you what there is to stay in there.
