22 The Salcombe is an apartment within a large white waterfront building, four bedrooms sleeping eight with a balcony over the estuary and a shared swimming pool in the grounds.

The open-plan living area holds cream sofas and a telescope trained on the water, the kitchen counter running alongside with a dining table set formally in a sailboat-print tablecloth. A white-fitted kitchen keeps a fridge, oven and hob within easy reach.

Four bedrooms, one fitted for children

Four bedrooms sleep up to eight, one opening through patio doors onto the balcony, another fitted with navy star-print curtains and bunk beds for children, and a third with folded towels laid ready on the bed. Two bathrooms serve the apartment, one with a rainfall shower head, both with an illuminated mirror cabinet above the sink.

The balcony holds a wicker sofa and dining set, looking out over the estuary and moored boats with other balconies of the building visible above.

Promenade and beach within reach

The waterfront promenade runs lined with palm trees, a lifeboat sits near the castle at the estuary mouth, and a sandy cove holds colourful umbrellas, all close to Salcombe.

A family base with a pool

Four bedrooms and a shared pool suit a family or group of friends wanting resort-style grounds alongside a proper self-catering stay, the telescope a nice touch for watching the boats go by.
