Braeside is a white house set into Salcombe's wooded hillside, five bedrooms sleeping up to ten with a terrace built for watching the sea and estuary together.

The setting takes in the whole house and terrace tucked into the hillside, gardens and seating spilling down toward the water.

Fireplaces and a games room

The open-plan living and dining room carries a carved stone fireplace beneath large windows, herringbone flooring underfoot, and a separate games room fitted with a full-size pool table and built-in shelving. A second, smaller sitting corner keeps its own armchair and ottoman beside a bay window. The kitchen runs to a range cooker, an island and a round breakfast table beside French doors, with a second dining table set for wine and place settings alongside.

Five bedrooms, several with the sea for company

Five bedrooms sleep up to ten, one built around a round bed with glass doors onto the view, others with bay windows or full-height glass looking straight out to sea. The bathrooms are marble-tiled throughout, one with a freestanding bath behind wooden shutters.

A terrace for the whole stay

Wicker sofas and armchairs line the terrace, a dining table and barbecue set up for eating outside, all facing the sea, the estuary and the wooded headland beyond.

Salcombe's beaches within reach

Braeside sits close to Salcombe itself, with East Portlemouth Beach, North Sands and Small's Cove all within reach of the house.
