Sundowners

Sundowners is a white rendered house with twin gables above Salcombe, four bedrooms sleeping eight with a wood-burning stove at the centre of every downstairs room.

A house built around the fire

The open-plan kitchen and dining room shares a wood-burning stove with the living space next door, a long dining table set beneath the window and a second sitting room with grey sofas and a wall-mounted television. A glazed side extension with arched windows adds a bright spot beside the driveway.

Four bedrooms, most with their own balcony

Four bedrooms sleep up to eight, several opening through bifold doors onto a balcony or straight out to the garden. The bathrooms run to a mix of baths and glass shower enclosures, one with mosaic tiling around a heated towel rail.

A garden for dogs and picnics

The rear patio holds a table and parasol, and the wider grounds see plenty of use: a dog retrieving a ball from the estuary, a picnic laid out on the sand, a sailing regatta passing the waterside houses.
