The Boathouse - Salcombe - Spring Time Tiny Home

The Boathouse is a small octagonal stone building right on the water's edge in Salcombe, a single open-plan studio built for two with its own hot tub on the deck.

Thatched cottages sit beyond it, the boathouse itself half hidden among trees and garden planting where the lawn meets the water.

One vaulted room by the water

Inside is a single studio beneath a vaulted, beamed ceiling: a bed made up with patterned wallpaper and a red bedspread behind it, a mustard-cabinet kitchen with a Belfast sink, and a sitting area with glass bifold doors opening straight onto the deck. A window seat looks out over the water, a book and a decorative bowl left on the sill, and a shower room in pink striped tile completes it.

The deck and the hot tub

Outside, a wooden deck holds a hot tub beneath the trees, wicker chairs turned toward the water, and a smaller round table for two catching the evening light beside the boathouse's stone wall and teal door.

Right on the water

The garden runs straight down to the water's edge, hydrangeas along the wall and benches set beneath mature trees for watching the sunset over the river, dusk skies and blossom framing the stone garden wall through the seasons. Salcombe itself is close by.

A romantic escape for two

This suits a couple wanting somewhere small and waterside rather than a full house, the hot tub and the deck doing most of the work for an evening in.
