The Lofthouse

The Lofthouse looks straight down Salcombe's estuary from its own balcony, an attic-topped house on Cliff Road sleeping six across three bedrooms.

A pale green front door opens onto wooden stairs and a glass balustrade, the sea and harbour already visible through the windows on the way in.

Living space open to the water

The living room's sofa and armchair sit beside sliding glass doors onto the estuary view, and a long wooden dining table with bench seating runs the length of the wood-floored dining room. The kitchen carries a mosaic-tiled floor and an island with open shelving and bar stools.

Attic bedrooms with skylights

Three bedrooms sleep up to six, tucked into the attic beneath skylights and dormer windows, one fitted with twin beds either side of a desk and another with a telescope trained on the water. A wood-floored room finished with a fish print above the bed gives a change of character away from the skylights. Three bathrooms serve the house, one with a freestanding tub set beneath its own skylight and a washing machine tucked beside the mosaic splashback.

A balcony over the moorings

Wicker chairs and a side table sit out on the balcony, drinks and a sun hat left out ready, the whole estuary and its moored boats spread out below.

Close to Small's Cove

The Lofthouse sits within easy reach of Small's Cove Beach, right in Salcombe itself.

A family base built around the view

Three bedrooms and a balcony over the water suit a family or group of friends who want the estuary as the main event, with the attic bedrooms giving children their own space upstairs.
