Upper Terrapins is an apartment on Buckley Street in Salcombe, three bedrooms sleeping six behind full-height windows over the harbour.

The view opens on the estuary itself, boats moored across the water beyond the slate rooftops below.

Teal sofas beneath tall windows

The sitting room keeps two teal sofas facing each other beneath full-height windows over the harbour, cushions and a round side table finishing the arrangement. The blue kitchen alongside runs to open shelves and a long dining table laid for breakfast beneath a skylight, grapefruit and orange juice regularly set out there for breakfast.

Three bedrooms in mustard and teal

Three bedrooms sleep up to six, most dressed in mustard cushions against a teal throw beneath a framed harbour print, one a twin room with reading lights either side and a curtained window between the beds. Two bathrooms serve them, finished in blue herringbone tile, one with a bath and shower, the other a glazed walk-in shower beside the basin.

A balcony above the rooftops

A glass-balustraded balcony holds white chairs and a small table above the rooftops and moorings, wine and flowers regularly laid out there.
