Wolf Rock

Wolf Rock is a modern black and white apartment above Salcombe's cliffs, two bedrooms sleeping four with a terrace that looks straight down the estuary.

Steps and hedging lead up through the garden to the black-clad entrance, a name sign and bell mounted beside the dark front door.

An open-plan living space

Inside, the living room opens onto the kitchen through sliding glass doors, an ornate carved wood fireplace surround at one end and a wood-burning stove for cooler evenings. The kitchen carries a black range cooker and painted cabinetry, with the estuary visible from the sink.

Two bedrooms with doors to the outside

Both bedrooms sleep up to four: one in sage green with French doors onto the terrace, the other with a navy patterned throw and doors leading to the garden. The two bathrooms include one in bold orange nautical-print wallpaper and a second in patterned accent tile.

The terrace over the estuary

Sun loungers and a small dining table sit out on the terrace, the view running down over the sandy cove and green hills to the open water, framed by overhanging tree branches.

On Salcombe's cliff road

Wolf Rock sits within Salcombe's own boundary, above the estuary and within reach of North Sands, East Portlemouth and Small's Cove.

A couple's retreat with a proper view
